Mom's Goulash Recipe
You won’t believe the flavor in this beef goulash. This is a perfect recipe for cold weather. I made it in this last snow storm and it was a hit. William loved it. He actually said, “Wow! That was good. I’ll take some more.”
Recipe for Mom’s Goulash
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 onion diced small
- 1.5 C water
- 1/2 C beef broth
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 can mild rotel diced tomatoes & chilies mild
- 1.5 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1.5 tsp Adobo seasoning
- 1.5 tsp season salt
- 1 C elbow macaroni, uncooked
- preferred shredded cheese
In a large pan brown the ground beef. When it’s almost done, add garlic & onions. Finish browning the beef.
Add Italian season, Adobo & seasoned salt, pepper to taste. Heat through.
Add water, broth, tomato sauce & diced tomatoes. Mix well.
Put heat on low & cover. Cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Stir in uncooked macaroni. Cover & simmer for 30 minutes. Add more water to preferred thickness.
Dish up & top with cheese.
About 5 servings. This goulash recipe is easily doubled for a bigger crowd.
